about danielle
While doing graduate work in psychology, I became ever more curious about spirituality, consciousness, and how to access the true nature of who and what we are. As a social worker, I was all too aware of the systemic inequities that seemed to color our individual experiences so deeply, and the disparity of experience kept compelling me toward greater understanding.
This inquiry led me to explore the inter-relationship among physics, spirituality, and psychology with the Ridhwan School; engaging in four years of deep inner inquiry work with the Diamond Heart 8 Group (for more on their beautiful work please click here).
Eventually, I went on to complete an Apprenticeship in Advanced Shamanic Studies with BJ Brown in Boulder, CO (for more on her incredible work please click here). Having grown up on a farm, I knew our disconnection from sense of place, community, and the natural world were at the root of many of the imbalances and illnesses humans are facing in the modern era. Shamanic practices serve to reconnect us with Earth and Spirit offering an orientation of deep reverence and resonance for the place we call home. A place that is both magical and mysterious, mischievous and marvelous; and where humor and lightness are the lenses through which we come to realize and embody the imagined.
Mitra - god of light, oaths, justice and friendship
I am deeply indebted to the healers, guides, and teachers I have had the incredible good fortune of meeting along the way. It is with particular gratitude that I honor the Reiki Masters who have shared their wisdom of this powerful and inclusive avenue for anyone, in any situation, who is in need of restoration and reminding of how to thread the needle of reconnection.
In keeping with the Vedic god Mitra; we all need spiritual friends along the path. This is what I extend to you, as it was extended to me.
With love,
Danielle
